Ice Cream Sandwich Recipe

I am a lover of dessert

Typically I'm all about chocolate, but when I came across a friend's website dedicated to all things ice cream I couldn't resist sharing her delicious recipes. This ginger ice cream sandwich with molasses cookies reminds me of something I'd order at a fancy San Francisco restaurant. Plus, it photographs like a dream.

Luckily, the Ice Cream Unicorn has a pretty manageable recipe to create your very own ice cream and cookies. I've made plain ice cream before with my mom via her ice cream maker, but I've never been comfortable to really try out a unique flavor. Using fresh ginger in this easy recipe sounds amazing!

Easy Dessert Pear Recipe

Over the holidays, we found a simple dessert that would compliment our heavy dinners consisting of roast turkey and mashed potatoes. It was light and refreshing, but still satisfied my nightly craving for something sweet. Using semi-sweet dark chocolate, we melted chips over the stove and dunked our pears top-up. After roasting a few fresh almonds and crushing them with a mallet, we rolled our chocolate dipped pears into the nutty crumble and let cool. We enjoyed cutting slices and sharing - such a simple recipe that is perfect for anyone looking to wean themselves off the sweets.
