Pink Hues

I purchased this bright pink nail polish to honor all the pink ladies walking in the 3 Day for the Cure that my roommate and I participated in last year, but haven't been able to stop picking it up for my nails since then. The bright color makes every outfit pop as spring approaches, so I'll have a feeling it'll be replaced before I know it!  

Fashion Show

The lovely Michelle invited me to her spring/ summer show at the San Diego Se Hotel. "Ornamental Dreams" was picturesque in the frigid weather (those poor little girls in the swimsuits!) and really showed off M. Dot Design's unique style. I'm looking forward to wearing my summer dress once the weather finally stops being so dramatic 

Bacon

Whenever we travel, I'm always interested in scouting out the latest restaurant or unique treat. During our last trip to San Francisco, we went all the way into the Mission District to try out the bacon latte - it wasn't worth the drive, but it was interesting to say the least. However, for New York's Shea Gallante's lobster BLT that was recently profiled on the Food & Wine site, I might just hop on a plane this instant to try it out - doesn't it just look delicious? Yum yum!

This weekend one of my biggest dreams came true - I actually got to walk down the red carpet. Granted, it was in jeans and with the media, but it was still a bigger step than I ever thought I would get to take.

 After working all day, we couldn't miss out on some of the best LA has to offer - like their food & cocktails. At the Hollywood Roosevelt's Public Bar & Kitchen.

Spread.

After trying to get into the place for weeks, the girls & I finally made a trip out to Spread in North Park. Raved about my Tyler Florence, among other celebrity guests, Spread is actually all about the catering business but occasionally opens its doors to us plain folks for a little vegan treat. Served in large platters to share for the whole crew, dishes are created daily and represent the restaurant's theme: "nouveau comfort food." 

Pucker Up

While home for the holiday, we always like to treat ourselves to a extra special cocktail - during turkey day, we attempted a sweet concoction from a clementine that turned out to be a little too sweet for our taste-buds (surprisingly enough), so during Christmas it was back to a classic: the lemon drop. The bright yellow sugar was a little startling, but the homemade limoncello was a must.
